Successful launch of the Freedom Lamp at Rossana Orlandi
9 May 2017
We had the privilege of launching the Freedom Lamp at the Rossana Orlandi gallery during the Salone del Mobile design fair in Milan, between 4 and 8 April 2017. Gallery manager Marco Tabasso offered us a beautiful place down in the garden near the entrance meaning all visitors had to go past the Freedom Lamp. During the fair hundreds of visitors saw the Freedom Lamp and we spoke to many interesting people from all over the world to get them excited about the Lamp.
Our presence in Milan has resulted in great exposure and we have received media attention in several publications, such as VK magazine, Woth magazine, and Elle decor Italia. Check our Instagram account @younginprison
for the full coverage. We are also tracking the delivery of the Freedom Lamp - which started last week – via our Instagram.
After returning from Milan, we were told that the Dutch Prince Constantijn of Orange-Nassau himself was interested in buying the Lamp. The Lamp will get a beautiful place in his new co-work space in The Hague.
Our thanks go to Rossana Orlandi and Marco Tabasso for their faith in our project and their offer of a great place at the Salone that made the international exposure of the Freedom Lamp possible. Many thanks also to the Dutch Consulate in Milan, especially to the cultural attaché Margo Curto whose selfless devotion to the project made the launch possible.
